Information we collect

• Enquiry details you submit through our contact form: name, email address, company name, phone number, service of interest, budget range and the message you write.
• Information you send us directly by email or telephone in the course of an enquiry or engagement.
• Technical information collected automatically when you visit: IP address, browser user agent, pages viewed and referring page.
• Analytics information, only where you have consented to analytics cookies.
• Client engagement records: contracts, invoices, correspondence and project documentation.

Why we use it

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

• To perform our contract with you, including invoicing and support.
• To protect the website and our systems, including rate limiting and spam prevention.
• To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations.

Legal bases

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: your consent for analytics and marketing cookies and for optional communications; performance of a contract for delivering services you have engaged us for; our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, securing our systems and running our business; and compliance with legal obligations for records we are required to keep.

Service providers

We use a small number of processors to operate the site and our business. These include our website hosting and database provider, our transactional email provider used to deliver enquiry notifications to us, and our accounting and payment providers. Each processes personal information only on our instructions and under contract.

Where you consent to analytics cookies, analytics providers also process the technical information described above.

Rate limiting and spam prevention

To prevent abuse of the contact form we store a one-way cryptographic hash of the submitting IP address alongside a timestamp. The hash cannot be reversed to recover the original address and is used only to count submissions per hour.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where information is transferred from a jurisdiction with transfer restrictions, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses offered by those providers.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become engagements: up to twenty-four months, then deleted.
• Speculative job applications: twelve months, then deleted.
• Client engagement records: for the duration of the engagement and for seven years afterwards, to meet contractual, tax and accounting requirements.
• Rate-limiting hashes: thirty days.
• Cookie consent preferences: stored in your browser until you clear them or change your choice.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to receive a copy in a portable format. California residents may also request disclosure of the categories of information collected and may opt out of any sale or sharing — we do neither.

To exercise any of these rights, email admin@thefactorydeals.com. We will respond within thirty days. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Security

Enquiry data is transmitted over TLS and stored in a managed database with access restricted to authorised personnel. We apply least-privilege access, keep credentials in a secret store rather than in code, and review access when people or projects change. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these measures seriously and describe them honestly.

Children

Our services are directed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of sixteen. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the current version. Material changes affecting how we use information already collected will be notified to affected clients by email.
