SERVICE AD-02

App Development

We build cross-platform mobile apps for iOS and Android, web applications, progressive web apps, and internal tools that replace spreadsheets and manual processes. That includes the API and backend work underneath them, and support through App Store and Google Play submission.

IS THIS YOU?

Who this service is for

  • You have a product idea and need a first version people can actually install and use.
  • Your team runs the business on spreadsheets and manual handoffs.
  • You have a website but need the mobile experience an app gives you.
  • You have an existing backend and need an app built against it.

WHAT YOU END UP WITH

Outcome of the work

  • A working app on iOS and Android from one codebase.
  • An API and data model documented well enough for another team to pick up.
  • Store submissions handled, including responses to reviewer feedback.
  • A staging environment you keep for the next round of work.

HOW IT RUNS

How the work runs

Durations are typical ranges. Your written schedule replaces them with dates once scope is signed.

5 STAGES
  1. 01

    Requirements and scope

    1–2 weeks

Users, flows, data model and integrations written down and signed off.

  2. 02

    Prototype

    1–2 weeks

Clickable screens for the core flows, so decisions are made before code is written.

  3. 03

    Build

    4–10 weeks

Iterative builds you can install and use, with backend and app developed together.

  4. 04

    QA and hardening

    1–2 weeks

Device testing, edge cases, error handling, performance and security review.

  5. 05

    Release and support

    1–2 weeks

Store submission, review responses, production release and monitoring.

HANDOVER

What you receive

  • Full source code for the app and backend in a repository you own.
  • API documentation, environment configuration and a written deployment runbook.
  • Owner or admin access to the Apple Developer and Google Play accounts, cloud project and database.
  • Production deployment plus a staging environment you keep for future work.
  • A 30-day post-release support window covering defects in delivered work.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked

Do you build separate iOS and Android apps?
Usually not. We build one cross-platform codebase in React Native or Flutter that produces both builds, which keeps cost and future maintenance lower. Where a feature genuinely needs native work, we write that piece natively and bridge it.
Who owns the App Store and Google Play accounts?
You do. We ask clients to hold their own Apple Developer and Google Play accounts and add us as a delegate. If you prefer, we can submit from our accounts during the build and transfer the app afterwards, which is set out in the service agreement.
What happens if a store rejects the build?
Rejections are a normal part of release. We respond to the reviewer, make the changes the guidelines require, and resubmit. Rejections caused by our build are fixed at no extra cost; rejections caused by your business model, content or account status are addressed together.
Can you work with our existing backend?
Yes. We can build the app against an API you already run, extend that API, or build a new backend. We start by reviewing what exists and telling you plainly whether it will support the app you want.
What does maintenance look like after launch?
Mobile platforms change every year, so apps need periodic updates for new OS versions and store requirements. We offer a monthly retainer covering updates, dependency upgrades, monitoring and small feature work.
